I kind-of know the feeling. My Palm III doesn't sync with my brother's old PowerMac 6xxx. We're getting rid of the old 6xxx when we move, so I've given up on syncing it. Maybe I'll get a new Palm when I get my eMac... but then again I only use my trusty (and free!) Palm III for jotting down quick notes, quotes, or music I hear when I'm not near some paper.

My office just switched from Entourage to Lotus Notes. Words cannot describe the depth of my loathing for Lotus Notes. I would rather watch Rush Limbaugh poop on my chest again than send one more email with or search for one more bit of data in that godforsaken program.

My contacts are scattered all over. My plan, when I finally get the iBook, is to get everything synched up and the same address book for every device - Palm, Phone, iBook (possibly the iPod, too?). Enough with this mess of stuff not matching!

Lotus Notes. Ack! I had no clue anyone outside the IBM sphere was still using that, uh, application. You have my sympathy, Jake.

I'd highly recommend limiting the number of friends you have to just those with contacts you can remember. While it is somewhat socially limiting, it makes these complicated technical transfers a whole lot easier.

Is that why you haven't called me? Just giving you a hard time...
