Next time you go on vacation or any kind of trip involving being away from home for more than three nights, don't take your normal shampoo. Use the stuff in the hotel or buy one of those little bottles of something different at Target, Walgreens, et al. Then when you get home, using your normal kind will be like starting fresh. Your hair will be ecstatic and probably buy you a thank you gift or something.

Well that didn't work out quite like I expected. The updates from the road. Not the trip itself.

Hi. I'm back. Sorry about the lack of fresh content but the previously rock solid mfop2 service went on the fritz just as I took off. I took it as a sign to just unplug for the duration.

That's right. Eight days without connectivity. Well other than a bit through the Treo when I was in a Sprint service area, which wasn't often.

I'm still decompressing, gathering my thoughts and editing the photos. Only 436 of those so give me a couple of days. More will be showing up soon.

So I needed to take some time off from work. And Shari had a block of vacation already scheduled. So we're taking a road trip across the great southwest. We've got a vague idea of where we're headed but not much else. That left column will probably be updated most often, if you care.

Can satire be too subtle? I'm going to have to keep an eye on this divisiontwo thing.

Traffic lights that change from green to red automatically when sensors detected traffic exceeding the posted limit. Interesting approach to deterring speeding that might actually work. Unlike the revenue-generating scams that all too frequently masquerade as enforcement efforts.
